The library itself is a historic building with stunning architecture, including beautiful murals, sculptures, and an impressive reading room. Free tours are also available.

2. The Commonwealth Museum

Exhibits on Massachusetts history, including rare documents, artifacts, and interactive displays. Most people don’t realize that the Boston Public Library offers free daily art and architecture tours, where you can see incredible Renaissance-style murals by John Singer Sargent!
