Germany Destinations

On our trip to Germany, Zack and I flew into Frankfurt and took a train directly to Munich (no direct flights from DFW). On another trip we took a train from Paris (CDG) (won’t ever book with Omio again), to Frankfurt, then onto Nuremberg.

We spent two nights in Munich, but didn’t get enough time to explore the city. It ended up being Mardi Gras, so we felt like sardines moving through the Marienplatz. On another trip to Germany, we also visited the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial during Winter. I got sick, so I made a helpful winter packing list for Germany if you’re planning to travel there!

We took a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle, which is the gorgeous castle that Disney is based off of! And it’s one of the most beautiful castles in Germany.

Then we headed to Austria for a few nights before ending up in Nuremberg.

Katie and Zack take a cheerful selfie while walking through Nuremberg’s old town in Germany. Behind them, cobblestone streets and historic buildings set the scene with classic European charm.

Nuremberg

While in Nuremberg, we visited the Nurnberg Castle, the Nazi Rally Grounds, as well as many more activities.

If you’re planning a trip to Nuremberg, then save this One Day Itinerary to make the most of your time. I made a list of all the restaurants we ate at and added a lot more options for you to visit.
