Dreaming up your perfect 5 days in Paris itinerary? You’re in the right place.
With five days in the City of Light, you’ll have enough time to explore the iconic landmarks, wander through charming neighborhoods, and savor all the little moments in between—like sipping a café crème near the Seine or getting lost in a quiet museum corner.
This day-by-day itinerary is designed for the intentional traveler: a mix of big sights and slower, meaningful experiences that let you actually enjoy Paris without racing through it. Let’s make every day count.
Day 1: Arriving in Paris and Exploring the Essentials
Morning: Arrival and Check-In
After arriving at Charles de Gaulle Airport or Orly Airport, check into your accommodation. Choose a central location, such as Le Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, or near Champs-Élysées, for easy access to major attractions.
We chose to stay at Hidden Hotel near the Arc de Triomphe.

Afternoon: Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées
Start your trip with a walk down the iconic Champs-Élysées, popping into cafés and boutiques. Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe for stunning views of the city’s grand boulevards. If time allows, stroll to the nearby Petit Palais—it’s free and absolutely beautiful.

Evening: Eiffel Tower
Book a timed entry for around sunset to watch Paris glow as the lights come on. Sip champagne at the top, then head down to the Trocadéro for a picture-perfect view as the Eiffel Tower sparkles on the hour.

Day 2: Art and History
Morning: The Louvre Museum
Dedicate your morning to exploring the Louvre Museum, home to world-famous masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Go early to avoid the crowds and visit the Mona Lisa before wandering through French masterpieces and Egyptian antiquities.

Afternoon: Lunch at Auberge Nicolas Flamel
One of the oldest buildings in Paris, now a cozy fine-dining spot with serious historical charm.

Evening: Notre-Dame Exterior Tour
While it’s still under restoration, the façade is stunning, and nearby views along the Seine are beautiful. Stroll to the Luxembourg Gardens and stop by Marin Montagut for charming, whimsical Parisian gifts. If you’re up for more art, check out the Musée d’Orsay or Musée de l’Orangerie before dinner.

Day 3: A Day Trip to Versailles
Morning: Palace of Versailles
Take a 40-minute train ride to visit the Palace of Versailles. Explore the lavish Hall of Mirrors, royal apartments, and the sprawling gardens.
Afternoon: The Trianon Palaces and Hamlet
Extend your Versailles visit to include Marie Antoinette’s Estate, featuring the Petit Trianon and Hameau de la Reine, a picturesque rustic retreat.
Evening: Return to Paris and Relax
Head back to Paris in the evening and enjoy a low-key dinner near your hotel or a cozy cafe. If you’re up for it, take a nighttime walk along the Seine River.

Day 4: A Day Trip to Disneyland
Morning: Getting There
Catch the RER A train from Châtelet – Les Halles to Disneyland Paris. The ride takes about 45 minutes, and it drops you off right at the park entrance.

Afternoon: Chez Remy & Park Fun
Enjoy lunch at Chez Remy, a Ratatouille-themed restaurant that’s just as cute as it sounds. Spend the day enjoying classic attractions like Phantom Manor, It’s a Small World, and the Sleeping Beauty Castle. It’s whimsical, family-friendly, and a great contrast to your more traditional Paris sightseeing days.
Evening: Return to Paris
Head back on the RER and wind down with a simple dinner or a wine bar in your neighborhood.

Day 5: Seine Vibes & Montmartre Magic
Afternoon: Lunch Cruise
Glide down the Seine in a beautiful glass boat while dining on French cuisine. Romantic and oh-so-Parisian.
Head to Montmartre to explore bohemian streets, visit the I Love You Wall, and climb to Sacré-Cœur for sweeping city views.
Take time to slow down, sketch, people-watch, or grab a pastry from a local boulangerie.

Evening: Moulin Rouge Show
A lively, sparkly, bucket-list kind of night. Dress up a little—you’ll feel like a 1920s movie star.

Final Tips for Your 5 Days in Paris
Before you jet off to the City of Light, here are a few last things to keep in mind:
- Book in advance: Snag those tickets to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and Versailles ahead of time so you’re not wasting your precious Paris hours in long lines.
- Metro = your best friend: The Paris metro is fast, reliable, and way cheaper than taxis. Download the Bonjour RATP app and you’re golden.
- Comfy shoes are a must: Between cobblestones and staircases, your feet will thank you. Stylish sneakers or chic boots with support are key.
- Slow down at cafés: Don’t just grab and go—pause, sip your espresso, and watch Paris wander by. The people-watching is next level.
