London is a fantastic base for exploring some of England’s most iconic and picturesque destinations. With efficient transport links and plenty of nearby attractions, you can easily venture out of the city for a day.

Why take a day trip from London?

Day trips offer a chance to step back in time and explore the UK’s rich history. Visit iconic sites like Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, or the medieval streets of Canterbury. These destinations are full of history and provide a glimpse into life beyond London’s busy streets.

While we only had two days in London, we didn’t end up going on a day trip. My first choice would’ve been to see Stonehenge, though, if we were going to do one.
